Interview with Urszula Radwanska
Q. Congratulations on your win against Local star Akgul Amnmuradova,
did you expect to win today?

Urszula: Thank you, I am very happy to win this match, Akgul is a very
tough player and it feels nice to beat her. I was prepared for the
match and felt I had a chance to win.

Q. How difficult was to play her ?

Urszula: It is always to play a star in her country and playing Akgul
was no diffrenet , with all the crowd for her I knew I had to play
well to win,Her service is very good but breaking it in the first game
itself gave me lot of confidence.

Q. You said you had plan to beat her?

Urszula: Actually I had seen my elder sister Agnieszka who is now in
the top 10 playing Akgul in a tournament at Rome, I had watched
closely and p[lanned my game accordingly , it worked for me today.

Q. So is not it difficult for you and your sister to play in Poland
which has no known history of women tennis ?

Urszula: True there are not many courts and facilities, but I and my
sister practice together with My Father who is our coach. Tennis is
our Family business you know.

Q So how has the year been for you so far ?

Urszula: As there is a limit on juniors playing the tour it is
really tough , I am just seventeen years old and could not play many
events, I have 3 more events to go this year, so I will try and
improve my rankings in these events and also try and do well here this
week.
Earlier I won a $50000 event and also reached the main draw of
Wimbledon as a wild card and lost to Serena Williams, it was quite an
experience. But I want to be in top 100 in the next year.

Q. So who is your tennis idol ?
Urszula : I am playing with most of them , so I do not have any idol ,
but I like Serena Williams as a player , she is good. I met her and
played her and that too at Wimbledon was special. I also admire my
sister she is a very good player also

Q. So you are on the road, when do you study?
Urszula: Yes it is very tough to be doing both , but I am lucky that
this is also my last year in school and I have special permission to
study and home and give exams separately, I like studies, but life
on the Tour is more interesting and I prefer it
